This East London duo have great expectations riding on their debut album. It delivers by the spadeful, spectacularly updating the indie-rock of Echo and the Bunnymen and My Bloody Valentine with heavy-duty computerised beats. Factor in lyrics of starlit romance and some storming tunes, and A Brief History shapes up as something of a modern masterpiece.
