Buy This #2 - METRIC

Canadian indie-poppers Metric return with their first record in four years, "Fantasies". Founded by frontwoman Emily Haines (beloved by critics for her work as part of Broken Social Scene) and guitarist Jimmy Shaw, the group self-financed the recording of their brand new album and set up their own global label operation. Produced by Gavin Brown (The Tea Party, Billy Talent), co-produced by Jimmy Shaw and mixed by Grammy award winning collaborator John O'Mahony (Coldplay, The Strokes), the album is a densely textured modern mix of psychedelia, electro and stays true to the band's aesthetic while venturing into more accessible musical territory. Includes "Help I'm Alive", "Sick Muse", "Front Row", "Gimme Sympathy" and "Blindness".
