Early Christmas Gift

My dear friend Helouise Scottoline-Grisham surprised me today with an early Christmas gift - 3 DVDs of my favourite films.

Matchpoint - Match Point (2005) is a dramatic thriller film written and directed by Woody Allen, and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Scarlett Johansson, Emily Mortimer, Matthew Goode, Brian Cox and Penelope Wilton. When tennis pro Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Meyers)begins a relationship with shy heiress Chloe Hewett (Emily Mortimer) after befriending her brother Tom, he finds his social and financial status vastly improved. However, once he has an affair with Tom's ex-lover, American actress Nola Rice (Scarlett Johansson), he realizes that his new, luxurious lifestyle may be threatened. So Chris formulates a devious plan to rid himself of his inconvenient mistress.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a 1994 Australian comedy drama film about three drag queens (two gay men and a transsexual woman) who travel across the Australian outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a coach they have named Priscilla. The film stars Hugo Weaving (Matrix trilogy), Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential) and Terence Stamp. It was written and directed by Stephan Elliott, and won an Oscar for best costume design.

Brüno - Brüno (pronounced as Bruno) is a 2009 mockumentary comedy film directed by Larry Charles. Sacha Baron Cohen, who also produced and co-wrote the movie, stars as the flamboyant gay Austrian fashion journalist Brüno. This film is the third based on characters from Da Ali G Show, following Ali G Indahouse and Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
