Most female comedians or comediennes are not exclusively into comedy films and a lot them foray into dramatic roles with much ease. The same can be said of dramatic actresses who can portray comedic roles with aplomb. Don't be surprised to see a mix of comediennes and dramatic actresses in this eclectic list. They are Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, Madeline Kahn. Lisa Kudrow, Carol Burnett, Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Diane Keaton, Dianne Wiest, Chelsea Handler, Christine Taylor and Amy Poehler. I did not include Sarah Silverman, Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres, Whoopi Goldberg, Janeane Garofalo, Goldie Hawn and Molly Shannon.
